Lullaby - Audio CD
"Lullaby: A Song of Love to Foster Attachment with Premature Babies" by Micheline Charpie.

A baby cannot exist alone, but is essentially part of a relationship" (Winnicott, 1964).
In the early stages of acceptance of the pregnancy, fantasies are mixed with ambivalence, negative feelings and challenges. The birth of a baby is the first encounter between the "dream child" and the "real child". A premature birth may hinder the mother's ability to start loving her baby at once. The lullaby can help mother and child bond together by transmitting beliefs, tales, faith, rituals and family tradition while providing a safe heaven. A video clip and experiential will try to give an idea of this work.
Micheline Charpie trained as a pediatrician in Switzerland. Upon moving to the Unites States she became a music therapist graduating from NYU. She presented her MA thesis in the field of Music Therapy in the NICU. She has a LCAT in NY State and works in private practice.
